SILICONE TOOLING · LOW-VOLUME PRODUCTION

Vacuum Casting — Production-Quality Low-Volume Parts

Vacuum casting pours polyurethane resins into silicone moulds taken from a master pattern — reproducing the detail, finish and feel of injection-moulded parts in volumes of 1–50, fast and without hard-tooling cost.

The right process, matched to your part

A silicone mould is cast around your master pattern, then filled under vacuum with a polyurethane resin matched to your end-use material — capturing fine detail and delivering production-like parts in low volumes.

Injection-Like Finish
Smooth, detailed surfaces straight from the mould — ideal for appearance and presentation parts.
Fast, Low-Cost Tooling
Silicone moulds are made in days from a master pattern, with no hard-tooling investment.
Broad Material Range
Polyurethane resins matched to ABS, PP, rubber, glass-filled and clear acrylic grades.
Colour & Overmould
In-mould colour matching, multi-shot and overmoulded inserts available.

Frequently Asked Questions

How many parts can one silicone mould produce?

Typically 15–50 parts per mould depending on the resin and part geometry; harder resins and abrasive fillers reduce mould life.

What lead time should I expect?

Master pattern, silicone mould and first parts usually take 5–10 business days. Repeat runs from an existing mould are faster.

Can you colour-match and texture parts?

Yes — we colour-match in-mould to Pantone/RAL and reproduce gloss or textured finishes from the master pattern.

What is the maximum part size?

Up to roughly 2000 x 1000 x 800 mm depending on pattern and mould box. Larger parts can be split and bonded.

What file formats do you accept?

STEP, STP, IGES and STL. We can produce the master pattern from your CAD by SLA or CNC.

Is my CAD kept confidential?

Yes — all files are handled in strict confidence and NDAs are available on request.
